The cats featured below are our long timers who have been waiting for a home for more than 6 months. To see all of our current adoptable cats and kittens click the link below.
All cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives.
Kittens and young adults have an adoption fee of $75.
The adoption fee for seniors and special needs cats is reduced to $25.

Scroll down to see some of our adoptable cats and kittens! If you see someone you think you'd like to adopt, click the following link to fill out the adoption application. Once approved you will be able to talk with the foster caring for that cat or kitten to see if they would be a good fit for your home, set up a meet and greet, and if all goes well, bring home your new fur-baby!

It is hard to really understand the cat over-population problem in southwest Missouri unless you are directly involved in rescue. The need for fosters is GREAT. Vet care and all supplies are taken care of by Rescue One, you just provide the love!

Rescue One is a state-licensed, 501(c)(3), foster-based rescue located in Springfield, MO. All of the animals in our care live in foster homes until a forever home can be found. We rescue without regard to breed, age, or ease of placement. Our mission is not only to rescue animals in need, but to also educate the public on responsible pet ownership and help provide low cost spay/neuter for those in need of assistance.
Since forming in 2013, Rescue One has helped saved thousands of animals, all cats and dogs will receive necessary medical care, required vaccinations, be microchipped, and be spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
Our goal is to place animals in responsible, committed homes, and considerable care will be taken to find good matches for both the animals and the adopters.
